Unpopular Opinion

What if I told you it should be easier..

It would sound like a joke, right!?

I mean, if it’s not hard, then maybe you just aren’t doing it correctly…

To be honest - I think that’s bogus.

Not EVERYTHING should be difficult in business. So why does it always feel like you’re behind on something?

Because we insist on doing it ourselves! While that can be an amazing thing to do sometimes - it’s not always the best thing to do ALL the time. It takes time away from you being where you want to be and where you should be. It can cause overwhelm and frustration with your business and increase procrastination, (sound familiar)?

So what exactly do I mean… I’m talking about the annoying things that you absolutely can’t stand, stick a fork in my eye type things like:

  • Setting up automation of some sort

  • Organizing emails

  • Getting your documents to make sense

  • Creating manuals so you can hire a team member

Literally, anything that is outside of the scope of work that you enjoy. Somehow those little annoying tasks just build up to become ONE BIG HASSLE!

So to make things just a little easier, I’m going to give you a quick tip on getting the most out of your emails:

  1. When you get an email that you need to do something with, “right click” on the message and select “My tasks” You’ll see that the email will show up on a list on the right-hand side. Once there, click on the email title and add a date and time reminder.

  2. After that, make sure you have your “my tasks” calendar selected when you open your calendar.

Now you’ll get a reminder for that task AND it will show up on your calendar (if the tasks calendar is selected inside the calendar options, bottom left side usually)

OR

If you prefer to remove emails until you need them, you can choose this option:

  1. Right-click on the email you need to come back to and choose “SNOOZE”

  2. You will be prompted with a date and time option - choose your preference

Now the email will disappear until the chosen date and time.

Simple solutions that don’t take up too much of your time.
