Streamline your Business with Google

I’ll admit it. I am a bit of a bookworm, okay, a huge bookworm.. 🤓. I  love a good fiction book, but most often, you’ll catch me lost in the latest how-to or motivational business book.

Of all the books I’ve read on the topic, they all have the same common theme when you get down to it.

Consistency = Success

If you look at any successful business closely, you’ll see that they offer consistency with their product or service. It is the most critical ingredient in the recipe for a company to thrive, grow, and scale.

So then the question is….HOW do we offer consistency like that?

The answer is SYSTEMS.

SYSTEMS = CONSISTENCY = SUCCESS

Your business HAS to have a system in place to ensure consistency. They don’t have to be costly and they don’t have to be overly complicated - sometimes keeping it simple is best.

What systems does your business have in place?

Do you get a knot in your stomach just thinking about the digital clutter? The overwhelm of where to even start? Ick.
Doesn’t it feel easier to just shove it all aside and deal with it on an as-needed basis?

You’re right. It does feel easier, procrastination lives inside all of us. The reality, though, is that it is way, WAY harder. And while it's nice to sit in the comfortable space of how we’ve always done things, change is inevitable, and it’s better to be ahead of the game.

“Sometimes, all we need is a guide.”

A step-by-step process that shows us the way so we can tackle it in bite-size pieces. After all, how do you eat an elephant?? One.bite.at.a.time. (not literally, okay)!

The good news is that it only costs us a bit of our time to get started. We can utilize Google Workspace to streamline our business processes without spending a penny. And if you want some of the Google features that do cost money, it’s extremely low cost and will pay for itself in time saved.

Time isn’t the main thing-it’s the only thing
— Miles Davis

Don’t get me wrong; it’s going to take a bit of work and a bit of time to get everything on track. But you know what really takes a lot of work and a lot of time? NOT putting systems in place. It is unreal and actually quite painful to realize how much of our time and life is wasted by not being organized, prepared and having systems in place. Not to mention the disservice it does to our clients and customers.

Benjamin Franklin said it best-

“A minute spent organizing is an hour earned.”

So how can we achieve this using Google Workspace?

AUTOMATING. STREAMLINING. ORGANIZING.

You don’t have to be burning the candle at both ends as an entrepreneur or solopreneur. There are so many ways to reduce your workload and expenses while increasing productivity, and improving efficiency!!

I’ve created an entire course with lessons and instructional videos to guide you.

If you’re antsy to get going, you can check it out HERE or read on to see how it can apply to your business or even just your personal life. I have five kids, so trust me, I use it for my personal life every.single.day!

First off, let’s talk about Google Calendar. In today's fast-paced world, we need to have everything written down and planned, and it sure helps to have reminders sent to us 😅 Scribbling down appointments somewhere(?) or trusting you’ll remember is a flawed system and a setup for client disappointment.

Creating a time-blocked, colour-coded Calendar keeps you prioritized, focused, accountable, on task, and your day structured. Add in an Appointment Schedule (a low-cost feature that allows your clients to book meetings or appointments with you based on your preferences), and you’ve significantly reduced phone calls, emails, and interruptions and you don’t have to do anything besides schedule your availability on your Calendar.

How do you organize all of your clients and customers? Are you paying a monthly subscription until the end of time for a fancy software? Stop it. Google Contacts is free, and I’ll show you exactly how to organize all your Contacts and Labels so you won’t lose track of anyone.

Are your emails, files, and documents a bit.. erm.. out of control!?! Yeah, that can happen.. really quickly too if you don’t have a system in place to keep it organized and functional. It really adds up if you spend even a few minutes each time you need to locate a document or a specific email. Not only that, but all that virtual clutter can leave you feeling frozen because it’s just too much to deal with. Are you making use of email templates to send a quick, personalized response to a lead that fills out your contact form? Your competition might be.

If you feel like your business could use a fresh start or a nice Spring cleaning, I cannot wait to help you!

I have created a step-by-step guide that walks you through the process of getting everything “Marie Kondo” organized. You will feel so relieved, inspired, confident, and motivated once you have everything arranged and a system in place to manage it.

Organizing your Calendars, Contacts, Emails, and Drives is just a small percentage of the ways Google can help your business. My course covers so much more than that, and you don’t need to be a technoid to master it or even have a ton of extra time to learn it. I’m all about saving time, so I designed this course for you to learn rapidly and efficiently. If you want to skim the guides, you can master it all very quickly by watching the instructional videos.
