Book Meetings from Email

Booking meetings doesn’t have to be time-consuming. Google has created many ways for you to book meetings, saving you time and effort - helping you become more productive. I mean - who doesn't want to do more things faster! So let’s discuss the hidden gem of booking meetings - from an email.

If you’re like me, you have received an email asking to book a meeting, and you’ve gone to Google Calendar directly to book it and rewrote the details of the meeting, etc. Costing you more time. 


I have a not-so-secret secret! - There is a better, faster way for you to book the appointment WITH all the details you already have directly from your email, saving you the pain of having to rewrite everything out! I LOVE this one.



Here’s how:

  • Open the email that you want to set up your calendar invitation for

  • At the top, select the three dots (ellipsis)

  • Choose “Create Event” this will open up your calendar and auto-populate the meeting invite based on the details within that email, including:

    • Inviting all email addresses that are on the email (simple delete those you don’t need)

    • Description (auto-fill with the email information)

    • Title (subject from the email, which can be updated)

  • When you’re done and all your information is correct, select “save.”

*Pro-Tip-If using the feature above, ensure you update the date and time for your event. Otherwise, it will auto-populate with the date and time you started setting up the calendar invitation.
